It just randomly changes my equipped guns and items at random and Arthur is constantly holstering his weapons when I don't want him to. Get Horizon: Zero Dawn instead, much better. [–]Hennnzzz 97 points98 points99 points 2 years ago (24 children). A survivol mode is exactly what I wanted when I was playing the game. I'm glad there's someone else that feels the same. Help me lord. It's one of those "my feelings > your facts" sort of opinions that are super prevalent in 2018. So, I'm definitely biased but this game just doesn't seem to really have anything that interests me. [–]OWRocks 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago (1 child), I think they were heavily inspired by Quentin Tarintinos "Hateful Eight" as it was a masterpiece film that took place during a blizzard (It's a western film) but the difference is that was a film, the games intro is really far stretched, [–]Rain13th 3 points4 points5 points 2 years ago (2 children), [–]commander-obvious 3 points4 points5 points 2 years ago (0 children). From that angle, the game is utterly amazing and all kudos to Rockstar for the love and devotion they've poured into it, because it shows. Gun is the best cowboy game ever. An example was, it took me like 5 minutes to get from camp to the quest npc in town but as I was coming into the town I accidentally hit a group of NPCs, i fell off my horse, everyone started shooting at me, killed me. I see it's a horse but they could have made a map with closer together towns/camps/mission /objectives instead of 10-20 minute horse rides ALL THE TIME. I think I'm gonna finish the main quests and sell it. [–]OnixVX 12 points13 points14 points 2 years ago (6 children). [–][deleted] 10 points11 points12 points 2 years ago (1 child). I go fishing I sleep. But that's the worst thing I played the entire game, and they say that playing the whole game takes 60 hours I would have to imagine at least 30 hours of that is chores, riding a horse from A to B, cutscenes and your character walking really slow, (and walking slow through camp) I think R* did this on purpose to serve as filler. So the next morning I immediately put Red Dead 2 up for sale on Facebook Marketplace and downloaded AC Odyssey on sale from Xbox store. I still get off my horse and it just has my pistols but no rifle or bow and I have to re-equip them. RDR + Sims + Clunky controls + horrible menus = 10/10 from game critics. But this seems extra boring. It doesn't ruin the game obviously, it just seemed like a prudish decision. The controls are the big thing for me and have been an issue in basically every Rockstar game since GTA3, yet they somehow always get a free pass on it. I did find the beginning of the game incredibly slow and boring. Waiting for Battlefield V since I missed out on BF1. The showcasing of how awesome the sun hits the water and the shadows does nothing for me. That's ridiculous. Red Dead Redemption II Alternative Cover By Felix Tindall, POV you recognized that feller from blackwater, First playthrough. All these little "attention to details" things are annoying AF. Sucks I was suckered into buying the $80 edition. Annoying. And the one's with imaginations are choosing to play fantasy and Sci-fi style games. Investors may be wondering if a tie-up with Churchill Capital will, in fact, … 7/10 at best. Sad because I loved the first RDR, but this game bores me to tears. Red Dead Redemption 2 has survival elements already. Arthur's hair grows, his clothes soil, he gains and loses weight, he loses his hat, he has to clean his guns, he can only carry so much at once, your horse succumbs to its injuries, and long journeys across the game world take long enough in video game time that the real world minutes it takes up feels like a proper indulgence of one's sense of distance. The story is average, The game is a chore, providing for a gang that does nothing, provides no benefit.
