On November 14, 2012, Tiffany and Stephen Bowen attended the March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction at the Ritz-Carlton in Washington, DC.  The Bowens new foundation, Skyler’s Gift – in honor of their son Skyler Bowen who passed away from complication of prematurity in 2011 – was a sponsor of the event.

The Bowen’s acting as co-chairs of the event raised $60,000 for the March of Dimes far surpassing their initial $25,000 goal.  In total, the event raised $200,000 to support Fund the Mission, which directly supports March of Dimes research and initiatives to prevent premature births.

The March of Dimes annual Signature Chefs Auction is one of Washington, D.C.’s premier social events highlighting the city’s culinary masters brought together for an elegant evening of wine, cocktails and dining. Close to 500 affluent members of society and business professionals come together to support the March of Dimes mission while enjoying over 30 of the area’s celebrated chefs, bartenders and vintners. The evening also included auctions with unique dining, entertainment, travel and leisure packages.

“We are honored to be the 2013 March of Dimes National Chapter ambassador family and we were honored to co-chair Fund the Mission for Signature Chefs,” says Tiffany Bowen. “It meant so much to us that so many people were willing to support the March of Dimes and premature babies because we have shared our story.  It reassures us that we are doing the right thing and that we are able to honor Skyler through this.”
